Ke-Yuan Hsin
Biography
Taiwanese Conductor Ke-Yuan Hsin received the Doctoral of Musical Arts in Conducting degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is current the Associate Conductor of the Denver Philharmonic, Assistant Conductor of the Denver Young Artists Orchestra, and Assistant Conductor of the Yakima Symphony Orchestra. He served as music director for the University of Texas University Orchestra from 2019 to 2024. Since 2022, he has also appeared as guest conductor with the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra, leading over thirteen performances, one recognized as a 2025 National Finalist for the American Prize in Orchestra Conducting.

Ke-Yuan served as music director of the University of Texas at Austin University Orchestra, where he brought a variety of programs to the ensemble. These included classical masterpieces from different cultures and periods, as well as innovative initiatives such as the orchestra's first-ever concert of Chinese music featuring the traditional Chinese instrument, the Erhu, with soloist Yun-Chen Tsai at Bates Recital Hall. Ke-Yuan has focused on innovative artistic partnerships, highlighting a variety of community partners. Since 2021, Ke-Yuan has premiered several pieces for composers who are popular in the nation. He recently premiered "Rising Light", an Orchestral Version composed by Kevin Charoensri, in support of racial justice and the bicultural combination of Asian and American identities. He has also premiered original productions, presenting his understanding of multiple cultures. In 2023, Ke-Yuan premiered "Equinox" composed by Katahj Copley, which has now been published by several publishers and performed by several orchestras in the nation. Ke-Yuan's performance with the University of Texas Orchestras has been featured on the KMFA 89.5 Podcast for his innovative work at the Butler School of Music.
Appearing as an international artists and conductor, he has given masterclasses and presentations to multiple classes and studios throughout the country, and conducted professionally in many states and countries across the world, including Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, Llíria Symphony Orchestra, Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine, Orchestra Senzaspine, Williamson County Symphony Orchestra, the National Chinese Orchestra of Taiwan, and more. His Primary mentors includes Farkhad Khudyev, Douglas Kinney Frost, Paul Chiang, with additional mentoring from Riccardo Muti, Daniele Gatti, Carl St. Clair, Luciano Acocella, Jerry Junkin, Larry Rachleff, Donald Schleicher, Rodney Winther, Yan Huichang, Apo Hsu, and Tsung Yeh.
